On March 14, 2021, our VIP showcase brought us together to celebrate the Playhouse’s extraordinary history and illuminate the bright future ahead. Featuring both original and reimagined performances from favorite Playhouse artists, behind-the-scenes moments and celebrity appearances, this was a signature Playhouse event not to be missed!
Highlights of the evening included:The brilliant writing duos from Come From Away, David Hein & Irene Sankoff, and Kiss My Aztec!, Benjamin Velez & David Kamp shared newly-commissioned work created for this special evening.
Spotlight performances by Storm Lever, Eric Anderson, Ari Afsar, Eden Espinosa and more, previewing the vivid season to come and celebrating beloved past productions
Special appearances by Trey Anastasio, Jimmy Buffett, Billy Crystal, Bob Gaudio, Montego Glover, Amanda Green, Judy Kaye, John Leguizamo, Des McAnuff, Alan Menken, Daphne Rubin-Vega, BD Wong and more!
