Ali Rome
Ali’s practice sits between art, design, technology and culture. From spacial design, to interaction design and public art, Ali has acted as both the practitioner and producer across these works. This experience gives them a broad understanding of both creative thinking and the successful application of it. Their practice utilises learnings from Human Centred Design and DIY punk ethics. They believe in democratising tech and cultural experiences (particularly within cultural institutions) and see participatory, human centric design at the core of this. They believe that co-curation, co-production, co-creation and more meaningful community engagement around cultural practice and storytelling is the key to democratising these spaces.

She now spends her time pricing out elastic and 100% cotton fabric while writing Kristina Wong, Sweatshop Overlord, a new show about going from out-of-work artist to overlord of a volunteer factory of remote workers in ten days. www.kristinawong.com
