Tony Award-winning La Jolla Playhouse offers students grades 10–12 an intensive five-week experience to build skills required by elite college theatre programs. We are looking for students who are willing to take risks, want to be part of an ensemble and are open to new techniques in storytelling.
Spend five days a week, eight hours a day, over five weeks receiving professional training in acting, scene study, voice and speech, ensemble-devised performance and movement. You will attend master classes with Playhouse artists, see world-premiere plays, engage with designer presentations, listen to first rehearsal read-throughs and watch technical rehearsals of Playhouse shows.
HOW TO APPLY
Fill out the application, answer five questions about yourself and submit two letters of recommendation. For your audition, please prepare two different monologues that show your range, style and character type.
