Working closely with Chef Wolfgang Puck to present a diverse menu featuring dishes ranging from “Miso Sake Broiled Butterfish” to “Kurobuta Spare Rib”, Chef Yoshinori Kojima—executive chef for Jai and former executive chef at Puck’s red | seven in Los Angeles—provides San Diego with a world-class dining experience that fuses rich Asian tradition and flavor with contemporary culinary trends.

Jai by Wolfgang Puck (pronounced "Jay") draws on the Thai word for "heart," and also refers to a Chinese good luck dish. A destination in its own right, Jai is also the restaurant of choice for La Jolla Playhouse patrons pre-performance. A welcoming lounge and diverse selection of wines and sakes offer a casual California ambiance.

Beyond the plate, guests at Jai will enjoy a modern ambiance designed by architect Martin Vahtra of PROJECTS architectural and interior design firm. Vahtra also designed Red 7 for Puck plus Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Las Vegas, and the Time Hotel in New York City.

Jai’s light-filled dining room and inviting outdoor patio provide the perfect venue for private events. As part of Wolfgang Puck Catering, Jai also offers restaurant-quality in-home and office catering for any size event.
