Galmae (It’s Not That Way, It’s This Way) is driven by Juhyung Lee (South Korea), who discovered street arts performances in 2012 in Seoul with Générik Vapeur (France). In 2015, Juhyung Lee joined the FAi-AR (Higher Training of Art in Public Space) in Marseille (France) which he finished in 2017 with his first creation: It’s Not That Way, It’s This Way. He is interested in the concepts underlying large-scale shows: the address to a multitude of people, the place of the individual within a group. This first show impulses a participatory action and reveals its symbolic significance. It has been performed about sixty times in France and internationally. In 2019, Juyhung Lee started working on To the extent possible, which premiered at La Passerelle in Gap in May 2022.
