WORKSHOP: Site-Sensitive Play: Movement and Tuning

We will use improvisation, simple movement, and language to collectively create physical storytelling particular to our site (found space). We will begin with games that help us find sensitivity and awareness for each other and the space around us, explore the ways the body can replicate, emphasize, or contrast shapes and patterns we see, and collaborate on building meaning through creating relationships between movement, texture, and environment. This workshop, lead by Chelsea Zeffiro, explores methods for devising site-specific work in small groups. Some journaling/pen and paper will be used.
