In A Shared Space, Ryan Carter transforms cell phones into instruments inviting audiences to join San Diego Symphony musicians in a communal performance that enhances our sense of togetherness. Using technology, this piece puts the audience in control of their own experience – not only controlling the sounds of their own devices, but also the ability to cue the orchestra. Taking over the lawn at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, these immersive performances will bring people together to make music like never before.
