King Britt and Friends

Philadelphia-born composer, producer and educator King James Britt along with musicians and friends will take audiences on a musical journey back to the mid-90s club scene. A limited number of Club-goers will enter through the backstage of The Rady Shell and find themselves on stage where they will experience an enhanced DJ set originally created in the 90s with DJ and bands working collaboratively to create a fresh take on the ‘live remix.’ This experience can also be enjoyed by audiences from the Lawn, chairs and blankets are recommended.

King Britt (De La Soul, Madlib, Kathy Sledge) will be joined by the legendary Chuck Treece (G Love / McRad) on bass, the magical Melissa Dougherty (Lizzo / Miguel) on guitar, the incomparable Ivana Santilli on keyboards, and the extraordinary Carlos Izaguirre on percussion. Keanu Nazemi will provide a visual experience that will surround club-goers with images and video that connect to the origins of this unique artform.
