Subscribers will continue to enjoy free parking, seven days a week, when visiting La Jolla Playhouse. Due to the construction of the Theatre District Living and Learning Neighborhood, the usual lots across the street from the Playhouse are not available. At the completion of the project, subscribers will enjoy secure, underground parking directly across from the theatres.
Until then, Playhouse patrons will park in the Osler Parking Structure at the corner of Gilman and Scholars Drive. There will be complimentary shuttles pre- and post-performance which will make on-going runs between the Osler structure and the theatres. These shuttles are accessible and deliver patrons to the main entrance of the theatre district. Front of house staff can drive patrons to the theatre entrances with golf carts upon request. Let a Playhouse greeter know that you would like this service when you arrive. To access the shuttle, go to Level 4, North Lobby pedestrian exit in the Osler structure. Masks are required to ride the shuttle.
Additionally, there is a newly paved and well-lit walking path from Osler up Scholar’s Drive to the Playhouse for those that prefer a brisk pre- or post-show walk. The walk is 0.30 miles, with a mild uphill ascent. Comfortable walking shoes are encouraged.
Finally, the front of the theatre complex also offers a new drop off location for patrons who take a ride-share service, or for those who like to drop off some of their party at the theatre before parking.
More detailed information about parking pass procedures will be provided closer to the September season start. Please feel free to reach out to Patron Services in the interim with any questions or concerns at (858) 550-1010.
