We are thrilled to invite you to a special event highlighting the talent that has been developing in our Veterans Playwriting Workshop (VPW), a part of the Playhouse’s MVP (Military and Veterans Programs) Initiative — dedicated, free-of-charge programs created to enhance the quality of life for veterans, active-duty servicemembers and their families.
For eight weeks during the Veterans Playwriting Workshop, participants work with teaching artists who are veterans themselves to craft and share their stories, finding community and healing along the way.
Two participants of VPW — Alexander Ameen and Daryl “Scooter” Davis — have shown exemplary dedication and promise and have been selected to each develop a one-act play that will be given a week-long workshop, culminating in a free public reading presentation on Sunday, September 22, 1:00 pm, at the Playhouse’s Shank Theatre.
We look forward to sharing these two one-act plays:
