Give Your Child a Summer to Remember!June 28 – July 23, 2010Full day, one-week to four-week sessions (Mon-Fri) 9:00 am - 4:30 pmFor students entering grades 2 - 12 Pre-care and after-care available for an additional charge. The ProgramIn these workshops, expert teaching artists inspire the voices of young actors and provide a safe place for young performers to reach for the stars. In a fun-filled environment, children build theatre skills, gain confidence and develop social skills through collaboration and performance. Age-appropriate activities are structured in acting, playmaking, improvisation, musical theatre and movement. Participants are divided into groups based on age to ensure all programming is age-appropriate. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a space. The balance is due before May 31, 2010. Tuition is non-refundable after the first week of the workshop. Orientation & Final PresentationParents and Young Performers are encouraged to meet at the Playhouse for a workshop orientation prior to the program beginning. T-shirts and schedules of activities will be distributed to participants at this time.Orientation For All Groups At the end of each group’s workshop, family and friends are invited for an informal final presentation — a sharing of the process participants have experienced during their time at La Jolla Playhouse.
